Vienna is a tourist friendly city that is incredibly easy to get around. Most people speak English and are happy to help. The landscape is stunning and the history runs deep.

Getting There: Vienna has an international airport called Wien-Flughafen (VIE). It is about 20-35 minutes to get to most locations around Vienna.
Rest Your Body:
Stay at the Meridien Wien (Vienna in the Austrian language), which is 20-25 minutes from the Vienna airport. It's in a great location in the middle of the tourist district and very close to the metro (which is quite easy to use). It's also right across the street from a beer garden in the park.

Adventure:
Take a bike or Segway tour with Pedal Power. They offer a wide array of tours. We took two of their tours and would highly recommend them both.

Classic Bike Tour- this tour takes you around the city to see the major landmarks around Vienna.
Grape Escape Bike/Wine Tour (Wachau Valley- 58 €)- this tour takes you on a train one hour outside of Vienna to the Wachau river valley. You visit a small river side town called Durnstein that has cute restaurants and quality souvenir shopping. Make sure to climb up to the Durnstein castle ruins, which overlook the Danube river. It is extraordinarily beautiful! The trip takes you through the vines, to a charming old town, and you taste two different producers. It's a long day, however, because you meet at 9:45am (Spittelau station) and don't get home until 7:00pm.

Culinary Delights:
Motto is a very hip vibe, Motto also has delicious food. It's not traditional Austrian cuisine and actually has some Thai inspiration, but it has a wide variety of options.

If you want a healthy breakfast or lunch, there is a place called Charley Fresh just a few blocks away from the hotel.
